2016 Asia Pacific ILF/ALA Lymphology Conference Darwin Australia
In May 2016 the ILF in association with the Australasian Lymphology Association and the Australian Lymphoedema Framework are holding a joint meeting in Darwin Australia. It will be of relevance to all patients, clinicians, other health professionals and scientists who have an interest in lymphoedema, its identification, treatment and management across the life span. The emphasis will be on the impact of lymphoedema in Developing and Developed Nations and of the issues facing young and older patients in hot and humid environments. Our meetings have a strong patient centred approach with a number of days and workshops dedicated to patient presentations and interactions.
We look forward to seeing you there and hope that you will be able to contribute to this vibrant meeting.
Please use the following link to explore your options for the Conference and to see how you can contribute to our knowledge, improve patient outcomes and really make a difference for the 1.4 billion people around the world who are at risk of or already have some form of lymphoedema. We all face significant issues with lymphoedema as our climate changes and warms, its harder to wear garments and bandages, mosquitoes which are the carriers of micro-filarae who then bite and infect people will spread, but we can make a difference and those strategies will be at the forefront of our meeting.
